Solar Light let down!
More Information
Isn’t it such a let down when your pretty solar lights stop working!
Did you go to all kinds of trouble to string up those cute little LED fairy lights around your gazebo or arbor? Maybe you bought a box of 20 that stick in the ground to make a lit up pathway? All that time and trouble removing all the cling wrap and putting them all together, placing them just so. Maybe you bought a fancy color changing solar moon, dragonfly or mushroom and decorated around it? Did your kids playing with a ball in the yard and knock off the top of your solar lights, or suddenly the top is just gone! Where do they go? was it the dog wagging his tail so happily to see you one day.. Do little thieves come in the backyard and steal the tops off your solar lights? Maybe it was the fairies.. Nah, they are to tiny too carry these lights. Maybe the raccoon’s or squirrels did it, yes that must be it! So where do the solar lights disappear to anyhow? How come they are always broken?
I am certain at one time or another I have had all these happen, I actually wonder just how many solar lights I have purchased over the years and had to throw out due to missing, cracked parts or they just stopped working. Maybe I should have bought shares into the “solar light” stock market!! Although solar lights can be temperamental and expensive, nothing beats a lit up backyard by solar in the summer! There are quite a few better quality products on the markets these days, although your going to have dish out a little more money and remember to winterize your solar investment. I try very hard to remember to do this, I often forget many of my solar lights, but those fancy ones I paid the big bucks for definitely spend winters in the garage. Don’t forget about refreshing the batteries!
If you are looking into making some serious solar light purchases it might be a good idea to do a little research, Amazon is a great place to read customer reviews. Purchasing solar lights from big box stores often means they are cheap and mass manufactured in China or similar and will probably be destined for the recycle can! Moonrays are a great old standby and have been on the market for years, specializing in outdoor and backyard lighting solutions. Of course there are all kinds of reputable companies, some even offering warranties – I love warranties!
There are tens of thousand of cute decorative solar lights available, and some serious heavy duty solar lighting options, even companies that will come install these for you!
Don’t be afraid to go solar!
