Lavender Iced Tea

More Information

I don’t know about you, but I sure love lavender! Lavender is super easy to grow and very drought tolerant once established, also so pretty and fragrant! It is a shame to not put it to some good use try this recipe! You can also add mint, lemon balm or any other herb you love!

Lavender Iced Tea:

1) Brew a stiff pot of regular tea for about 5 minutes, 2 bags. About 1 litre of water.

2) Next, simmer about 1 cup of sugar, with about 1 litre of water in small sauce pan with a large handful of fresh lavendar, just simmer long enough to melt sugar.  If you like your tea sweeter add more sugar.

3) In your sauce pan you can now add fresh squeezed lemon: and mint or lemon balm – any herb you want to enchance your tea flavor!  I like the to add the juice from 1 lemon, about handful of lemon balm!

4) Put the ice cubes in a pitcher, slightly strain your sugar and herb mixture (now that it has cooled). Now pour tea and sugar mixture over your pitcher of ice, garnish with fresh lemon slices and a few sprigs of lavender and enjoy! These amounts are not exact, you may need to tinker with the amounts depending on your taste.
