Germinate seeds in egg shells!

You will need:

  • Egg shells
  • Fertile Soil
  • Seeds of your choice
  • Knife and pin

Step one:
Gently cut or crack the tops off egg shells.

Step two:
Gently poke or crack the bottom of your egg shells for drainage.

Step three:
Fill your egg shells with soil and plant seeds of your choice. Place in sunny warm location and water as needed.

Step four:
Once your seedlings are large enough for transplanting – slightly crack the bottom of the egg shells for the roots to grow through, and there you have it!

There are many benefits to egg shell germination:  They are almost free! The shells are full of calcium and magnesium that help to feed your plants/roots and also the shells help in the effort to keep garden pests away from your seedlings!
