Germinate seeds in egg shells!
You will need:
- Egg shells
- Fertile Soil
- Seeds of your choice
- Knife and pin
Step one:
Gently cut or crack the tops off egg shells.
Step two:
Gently poke or crack the bottom of your egg shells for drainage.
Step three:
Fill your egg shells with soil and plant seeds of your choice. Place in sunny warm location and water as needed.
Step four:
Once your seedlings are large enough for transplanting – slightly crack the bottom of the egg shells for the roots to grow through, and there you have it!
There are many benefits to egg shell germination: They are almost free! The shells are full of calcium and magnesium that help to feed your plants/roots and also the shells help in the effort to keep garden pests away from your seedlings!
