Very slender heirloom bean, reaching a length of up to 18 inches or more. Fantastic in stir fry and other dishes. They are best cut on a bias an inch or two long and sauteed which retains their color and develops the rich nutty flavor. Huge vines easily climb 10 feet or more and set beans all the way to the top. The flowers of this variety are a light purple and look a little like a sweet pea. Pods are borne in pairs which mature simultaneously, which makes them easy to pick. Pick every other day to keep up with the production. Pods should be dense and solid when picked, and will store a week or more in the cold box.
Sow seeds 1 inch deep in Spring, sunny location with fertile soil.
