A rare European heirloom beet root that can grow huge, it also makes tasty greens. Very large, oblong golden-yellow Mangel Beets are sweet and tasty if picked small, let mature for a great roasting beet.
Harvest Beet tops at about 30 days and roots 50 – 70 days.
Sow seeds in warm fertile soil 1/2” deep in Spring, may need thinning.
